In 2023 we published over 100 videos across multiple Playlists. Getting to our content can be challenging, so we will attempt to catalog our videos here. We will organize our content in two ways: 1) by playlist; and 2) by level of expertise.
In 2024 we will double the amount of content we publish, add our Discord link, build our Patreon where there will be multiple levels of access and privileges, as well as start our Online Training Courses. We will also start videos on other Modeling tools other than Sparx EA (e.g., Draw.io, Lucidchart, and more). CASE, UML, and Modeling is my passion, so I am extremely motivated to share my knowledge with you and hopefully we all can learn together.
Below we focus on 3 Playlist as starting points. There are those of you that are just getting started in Sparx EA, and others that want to understand "the basics" of Sparx. Then there are many of you looking for more advanced subjects on delivering your operations, systems, and software.
2024 will be a very exciting year for all of us!
The Sparx EA Getting Started Catalog will help you get, install, and understand the User Interface. We will step through launching the first time, basic tooling and features, and drawing our first diagram.
With over 20 videos and more being added, this is a great place to start for modelers just starting with Sparx EA and general modeling practices. Here we will touch on everything from buy and installing Sparx, to understanding the tooling and various entry-level usages.
This catalog of basics helps Modelers understand next-level aspects of Sparx EA. We start with important Workspace windows and tools, then demonstrate starting simple projects, introduce Baseline and Versioning, Custom Drawing, as well as get into the most used Diagram Types.
We also start talking about Reporting, building your Glossary of terms to support ubiquitous language used in your organization's and team's delivery.
While we attempt to keep the level of training to entry-level, we introduce intermediate UML modeling capabilities you may be prepared for at this point.
In our 3rd Series Playlist we cover a broad array of subjects such as, Requirements Engineering, Connectors, and Reusable Asset Services. We start using Model-Driven techniques such as, Model Driven Architecture (MDA), Model Driven Development (MDD), Model Driven Requirements (MDR), or what I refer to as Model-Driven Anything.
We will also get into Productivity approaches, such as "What Am I Working On", also exposed in Series 2, where we expose tooling to help you get back to what you were recently working on.
